Westwind 6kW Wind Turbine (Discontinued)
The Westwind 6kW wind turbine has successfully completed the MCS testing requirements and as a result has been upgraded from a 5kW to a 6kW. This wind turbine is available in 48V, 120V battery charging and 240V (heat, grid-tied or a combination of both). This product is one of the most successful in our range since the business arrived in the U.K. due to it being incredibly flexible in application. It is of adequate size to supply customers' energy for personal use with either solely electric use or electric & heating (depending on the energy consumption). This machine, although slightly larger than the 3kW, can be used to provide a great stand-alone system.
The machine can be painted in a range of colours, Diamond White, Off White, Green, Grey; the blades in addition to the above colours can be painted black for anti-icing enhancement
The Westwind 6Kw turbine is fitted with the Westwind 95% efficient generator as standard. All Westwind turbine generators are test run on our dyno test bench before final assembly to the nacelle this ensures that the generator is performing as required. The machine has a fixed pitch rotor which is set to the optimum blade pitch angle for average wind conditions.
The market place offers a colossal range of small wind turbines but if you want a robust and reliable machine that will run for many years with minimal maintenance we believe that you will find it in our Westwind range of turbines. The 5kW is an excellent wind turbine for a stand-alone system in remote locations and has a track record unsurpassed.
This wind turbine having completed MCS testing is eligible for the Feed in Tariff or NIROC's.
